I came into our bedroom this morning and found Gray reading my Kindle. Mostly he likes to turn it on and off to change the graphic. Which I must say is not an obvious on/off switch. He did sit for quite awhile reading to himself. I soaked up every moment of the peaceful moment. He also has figured out how to turn the pages so I now have to try and find what page I was on. Eventually he asked me what the words said; so I read to him for a bit. He listened for a surprisingly long time considering the content and lack of pictures.I cherish these quiet, still moments. They are a rare commodity over here with mister kinetic. It made me realize how much down time I had at the end of my pregnancy with Gray. Sure I was busy doing this or that. Gray certainly has many more handmade items then this little guy who has at the moment zero. And our house was much tidier. But between terrible insomnia and the afore mentioned down time I would voraciously devour book after book. I would go to the library every couple of days to restock. It was ridiculous. A very different pregnancy this time around. I would be embarrassed to say how long the book that is currently on my Kindle has been kicking around. Gotta love the Kindle....no library late fees.
